Moscow – Not much is known about the private life of Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin.

Officially, Russia's president operates as a single.

For years, however, ex-gymnast Alina Kabaeva has been considered Putin's secret lover or even wife.

However, there has never been an official confirmation from Russia.

Research could now provide spicy insights into Putin's life with his alleged girlfriend.

Both apparently used funds from a Cyprus-based offshore company to buy luxury homes.

Journalists from the independent Russian medium

Proekt

cite information from a former manager who is said to have been involved in the management of a secret financial network.

Putin private: Former gymnast and president allegedly bought luxury properties through offshore companies

It is apparently about funds from the offshore company Emira.

It first belonged to the Saint Petersburg lawyer Vladislav Kopilow.

The company later became the property of the Russian oligarch Arkady Rotenberg.

According to Proekt,

relatives of Putin met personally with Rotenberg to arrange purchases from Putin through Emira.

According to the report, in 2011 Kabaeva bought four apartments in Sochi with money from Emira and gave them to trustees.

She also bought an apartment for her grandmother, who currently lives in an old country house in a suburb of Moscow.

The Cyprus-based offshore firm was also allegedly involved in the purchase of a 120 square meter apartment in Moscow's prestigious Airport district and three apartments and two estates in the Moscow suburb of Usovo.

All of these properties were said to have been bought for Putin or for members of his inner circle.

In addition, research has revealed that the Cyprus company Emira has enriched itself with shares in the National Media Group, of which Kabaeva is the chairman.

In 2013, Ermira acquired 7.5 percent of the shares for €76 million but reportedly sold them three months later for another €65.6 million to financial structures owned by Gennady Timchenko, a Russian oil oligarch who is considered a close friend of Putin.

Putin's personal life: details of the Kremlin boss's children and alleged lovers

Putin is said to be living in a residence in Valdai with his alleged lover Kabaeva.

According to media reports, the gymnast's assistants and family members are also often to be found there.

This could support the suspicion that the two live together.

Kabaeva also reportedly owns a penthouse, which was named the "largest apartment in Russia" in 2021.

Putin is said to have two children with the 39-year-old.

It is rumored that the first child together was born in Switzerland in 2015.

The second child may have been born in Russia in spring 2019.

Putin's fortune: Kremlin boss earned half a billion by selling vodka

Another indication of Putin's life of luxury could also be the sale of a popular vodka under his own name.

Between 2004 and 2019, Putin is said to have earned up to $500 million from it.

This is also the result of a study by

Russian vodka, sold under the Putinka brand, entered the market in Russia in 2002 and became the market leader by 2005.

At that time, more than 40 million liters were sold annually.

The owners of the Putinka brand have changed over the years.

Connections to Putin's circle of confidants have been proven - they had to hand over part of the profits to the Russian president himself,
