Occupied Jerusalem - SANA
The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs called for urgent international intervention to lift the siege imposed by the Israeli occupation authorities on the cities of Nablus and Jericho in the West Bank.
In a statement today, reported by Wafa Agency, the Foreign Ministry considered that this unjust siege on the two cities is a form of collective punishment imposed by force on the Palestinians, which disrupts their lives and impedes their ability to move and access their sources of livelihood, schools and hospitals, including children, women, the sick and the elderly.
The Ministry warned that these sanctions by the occupation and their consequences and repercussions are a dangerous escalation in the arena of conflict, and are considered one form of the apartheid regime against the Palestinian people, expressing at the same time its surprise at the silence of the international community and the relevant international organizations and bodies regarding it.
