In Wolfratshausen, climate protection protests again on Friday.

"We have to get away from non-binding promises," demands one of the spokespersons.

Wolfratshausen – The alliance never tires.

A group of Wolfratshausen climate activists - Wor for Future - has been taking to the streets for three years.

They hold talks with local politicians, plan events and put pressure on the committees.

Next Friday, March 3rd, the climate protectors are planning the next demo at 4 p.m. at Marienplatz.

On the occasion of the worldwide climate strike, the people of Wolfratshausen protested - and moved from Marienplatz via Sauerlacher Straße and the Floßkanal back to the old town.

The global climate strike runs under the motto "Tomorrow is too late" - in German: "Tomorrow is too late."

At the demo, the group presented their vision of a climate-neutral Wolfratshausen.

The slogan "Think global, act local" describes the central challenges in the climate crisis, writes the Wolfratshausen Alliance in a press release.

The cities and communities should therefore implement local projects to improve the situation worldwide.

“Every municipality that makes progress is happy about a better quality of life, more economic output and more security.

Above all, climate neutrality is a huge plus for the economy, the city and people,” says Jan Reiners from “Wor for Future”.

Climate demo on Friday in Wolfratshausen

Overall, the environmentalists advertise with four ideas for the future, which they want to underpin next Friday.

Transforming Wolfratshausen into a green city worth living in is one of them.

Trees and plants offer the city a variety of ecological factors.

The environmentalists see opportunities to mitigate climate change by planting the city.

They point out that green spaces have many functions - be it the preservation of biodiversity or simply the shade that trees provide and that protects against the blazing heat in summer.

Future activists in Wolfratshausen: They demand "a vision"

A positive change in the city can be achieved through climate neutrality, says David von Westphalen, one of the spokespersons for the alliance.

“We must move away from non-binding promises and boring litanies.

We must finally get down to business and start building on a vision from now on," the climate protectors demand in a press release.

Implementation will not only help in the near future, but also in the here and now.

The activists list that there are fewer traffic accidents, pollutants and noise in the city.

"And our children and their parents will be happy if they live in such an attractively designed community in the late 21st century," said the climate protectors.
