Port Vila-Sana
An earthquake measuring 6.8 on the Richter scale struck the islands of Vanuatu in the South Pacific Ocean today.
The US Geological Survey stated that an earthquake occurred at a depth of 33 km, 92 km west of the city of Luganville, while no tsunami warning was issued.
Vanuatu is an archipelago of volcanic origin and is located in the South Pacific Ocean, 1,750 km northeast of Australia.
