Today, a relief aid convoy was launched with the participation of eight civil and charitable societies in Homs to our people affected by the earthquake in the city of Jableh in Lattakia Governorate, as a continuation of the “Khair and Loyalty” initiative launched by the Directorate of Social Affairs and Labor in Homs last month.
The Director of Social Affairs and Labor in Homs, Eng. Samar Al-Mustafa, explained in a statement to reporters that the convoy includes foodstuffs, health and relief materials by a volunteer team, and the convoy from Homs is accompanied by the representative of the participating associations, and it will be distributed directly to the people in Jableh in cooperation and coordination with the relief sub-committee in Lattakia Governorate.
Coordinator of the earthquake disaster response campaign at the Al-Birr Association and Social Services, Wael Sheikh Fattouh, explained that the association is participating for the fifth time in relief and support convoys for our people affected by the earthquake and within the Good and Loyalty initiative launched by the Directorate of Social Affairs and Labor. Aid is delivered to the affected areas, and volunteers are divided into teams to cover the needs of families. affected, and the distribution of aid to those affected.
In turn, between the administrator and the volunteer in the Ray of Hope Charitable Association, Nazim Al-Qabbani, that the association participated in the Good and Loyalty initiative since its inception and provided relief aid to our people in the affected governorates, and the focus was on various food and health relief materials and children's toys.
For his part, the Secretary of the Arab Private University for Science and Technology, Alaa Suleiman, referred to the university's contribution to the campaign by distributing in-kind and cash contributions to those affected by the earthquake.
