Today, Egypt announced sending a supply ship loaded with hundreds of tons of aid to provide relief to the victims of the earthquake in Syria.
The military spokesman of the Egyptian Armed Forces said in a statement posted on its official page: “Within the framework of Egyptian support and solidarity with the Syrian people in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake, a supply ship belonging to the Egyptian merchant marine fleet left the Arish sea port heading to the port of Latakia in Syria, to unload its cargo of Hundreds of tons of relief aid provided by the Ministries of Defense and Social Solidarity, the Egyptian Zakat and Charity House of Al-Azhar, and the Long Live Egypt Fund.
The spokesman added that this aid is to be paid to the stricken areas in Syria, to contribute to alleviating the effects of the devastating earthquake, pointing out that this aid comes as a continuation of the Egyptian role towards various brotherly and friendly countries and to provide permanent support and solidarity in times of adversity and crisis.
