A driver died in a traffic accident on the K10 in the Harburg district on Thursday morning.
His vehicle had collided with a truck.
Seevetal/Marxen – The German Weather Service has already warned of fog in several communities and towns.
There is also an official fog warning for the municipality of Marxen (Lower Saxony) for Thursday morning, March 2, 2023.
For a 42-year-old driver, the visibility could be fatal: he died in a frontal crash with a truck.

The view was restricted.
Shortly thereafter, there was a fog crash on the K10.
At around 6:22 a.m., an electric car crashed head-on into the truck of a 63-year-old man on District Road 10.

The trucker still tried to brake his team, but too late.
The 42-year-old EV driver crashed into the front of the truck at high speed.
The electric car is literally shredded by the impact on the hard truck front.

Family father dies in a fog crash in Lower Saxony – the police are investigating
The driver, who presumably died immediately, was severely trapped.
The voluntary rescuers needed more than an hour to rescue the man from the accident wreck.
Entire vehicle parts and two child seats belonging to the father of two had to be removed.
District road 10 had to be closed for hours.
However, it is still unclear exactly how the accident happened.
The police investigations are ongoing.
