Jordan condemned the Minister of Finance, Bezalel Smotrich, this evening (Thursday) following his "inciting statements calling for the destruction of the Palestinian village of Hawara".
A similar condemnation was also issued by the United Arab Emirates and the United States.
Earlier this week, Smotrich liked a tweet calling for the village to be deleted.
He then said at the "TheMarker" conference: "Why did I like the tweet? Because I think the village of Hvara should be deleted."
However, he clarified that "the state is the one that should erase Hvara".
Liked the post calling for the village to be deleted and then retracted it.

The spokesman for the Jordanian Foreign Ministry, Sanan Majeli, stated that the statements supporting violence express a violation of international law.
The Jordanian spokesman also confirmed the Jordanian position supporting the need to "stop the campaigns that harm the Palestinian people".
The statement of the United Arab Emirates states that the Arab Federation "condemns the racist statements of Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich calling for the destruction of the Palestinian village of Hawara."
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation affirmed the UAE's "rejection of all practices and behaviors that contradict human morals, values and principles".
Also, the need to confront "words of hate and violence" was emphasized.
