Another edition of "El Clásico" from Spain culminated, this time in the semifinals of the Copa del Rey, with a coup of authority given by FC Barcelona, who defeated Real Madrid 1-0 at the stadium Santiago Bernabeu.
The winning goal was an own goal by Éder Militao at minute 26 after a shot by Franck Kessié.
Despite the offensive of the local team, those led by Xavi defended the result and will play the second leg with an advantage, to be played on April 5 in Barcelona.
The Catalan team came to this match after two tough defeats in LaLiga and the Europa League, although it continues to lead in LaLiga.
The merengue team, for their part, came reinforced by their recent triumph in the Champions League against Liverpool at Anfield.

In the Copa del Rey, 35 games have been played between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid.
In the general balance, Barça has won 16 games;
meanwhile, Real Madrid has 12 victories and the remaining 7 games ended in a draw.
In the last clashes between Spain's two greats, Barcelona beat Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup 3-1 in January.
In October they played the Clásico in LaLiga with a 3-1 win for Ancelotti's men.

In the other Copa de Rey semifinal, Osasuna defeated Athletic Club 1-0 on March 1, and the second leg will be played on April 4.
FC Barcelona is the team that has won the Copa del Rey the most times: it has 31 titles.
Real Madrid is third with 19 titles, behind Athletic (23).
