Russia called on the Moldovan authorities to stop hostile rhetoric and show restraint after tensions escalated in the Pridnestrovian Republic.
“Tension is artificially escalating around the situation in Pridnestrovje, and the Moldovan authorities are turning a blind eye to the Kiev regime’s attempts to undermine the situation in this region,” TASS news agency quoted Maria Zakharova, a spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, as saying in a statement today, stressing her country’s readiness to develop constructive cooperation with Moldova and continue Efforts to resolve and settle the situation.
Yesterday, Zakharova expressed her country's concern about the Kiev regime fabricating a provocation with radioactive materials near the Transnistrian region on the border between Moldova and Ukraine.
