The woman who was set on fire by her ex-partner, who was later killed when he crashed into a wall with his car, is hospitalized in serious condition.

The woman who was allegedly set on fire yesterday (Wednesday) by her ex-partner, who was later killed in a self-inflicted accident, is hospitalized in serious condition, ventilated and sedated in the intensive care unit in Hadassah Ein Kerem.

The former couple have no relatives in Israel.

The Welfare Department of the Jerusalem Municipality transferred the woman's two young children to an emergency nanny family of the Ministry of Welfare.

The woman's little daughter was in the kindergarten next to the building when the shocking arson took place, which caused her mother to be seriously injured.

The woman lives on the top floor of a building on Margalit Street in the Gila neighborhood of Jerusalem.

Avraham Shmolevich, the neighbor of the woman who was set on fire, described the horrifying incident to Israel Hayom: "I was sitting in my apartment and suddenly I heard terrible screams from the living room.

I ran to the living room and saw our neighbor on the floor shouting: 'They burned me, they poured gasoline on my face.'

I didn't recognize her because her face was burnt.

I immediately called the police and asked them to call an ambulance as well.

She was burned in the head.

I saw a really black face and something like a rope around her neck.

There were also plastic handcuffs on the floor.

It is terrible.

How could he do this, to the mother of his young children, to his ex-wife?'

Shmolevich added that: "They divorced eight months ago.

It came as a complete surprise.

A young woman who immigrated from Russia about ten years ago.

It is the only one in the country.

She has no family in Israel.'

One of the neighbors in the building, who also witnessed the tragic event, described the horror: "It was terrible.

She lives above me and I saw what happened.

Her head was burnt.

It was shocking.

We had nothing to do.

They called an ambulance that came and treated her.

She is such a good and young woman.

She has two small children.

I cry because of this case.'

Next to the building where the arson took place is a kindergarten where the young daughter of the woman who was allegedly set on fire is also present.

One of the women working in the kindergarten seemed shocked by the difficult incident and said: "She is a good and simple woman.

Her daughter is in kindergarten and she has another child.

This is a terrible tragedy.'

Lena, one of the neighbors, looked shocked: "It's horrible.

Can't stomach it.

She is 32 years old, charming and so beautiful with a glowing face and huge eyes.'
