Cross-country skiing fans are currently getting their money's worth in many communities in the Tölzer Land.

Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen – Many had already given up hope for this winter.

But the fresh snow at the weekend brought unexpected cross-country skiing luck.

Some trails in the Tölzer Land are currently groomed.

An overview:

Bad Tölz

Both Tölz trails are currently groomed.

According to spa director Brita Hohenreiter, the Ellbach trail is in “good condition”.

Both skating and classic cross-country skiing are possible here.

The Reutberg trail has also been groomed since Tuesday.

However, here you can already see the first signs of the warmer temperatures.

"The trail is passable, but only for skating and with a few water holes," says Hohenreiter.

Lenggries

Maria Bader, head of the Lenggrieser Tourist Information (TI), is happy about plenty of snow and cross-country skiing fun in Brauneckdorf.

"We didn't expect it, but the trails are all groomed and it's been super easy to cross-country ski since Monday," she says.

The trail from Wegscheid to Schwarzbachtal has been groomed for skating and classic since Monday.

The Lenggries-Schlegldorf-Arzbach trail is also groomed.

According to Bader, the five-kilometer circuit at the old valley station is also open to cross-country skiers.

Both classic and skating, cross-country skiers in Lenggries also get their money's worth on the Vorderriß-Wallgau trail.

"We currently have a few guests here, and the cross-country ski runs are very well frequented by winter sports enthusiasts," sums up Bader.

"The 30-kilometer-long trail in Hinterriss is also groomed further in the direction of Tyrol," says Maria Bader from TI Lenggries.

Gaissach

In Gaißach, the seven-kilometre trail between Mühl and Untersteinbach could be used for cross-country skiing for three days.

"Unfortunately, it was only a brief pleasure and the trail is no longer groomed.

It's gotten too warm," said City Hall.

Jachenau

In the Jachenau, the trail from Tannern to Point is groomed for both skating and classic.

"It's no longer possible to go from point to village mill in the classic way," says Rosmarie Fischer from the municipal administration.

"The conditions are still relatively good, but that can change every day." Fischer suspects that it will still be possible until the weekend.

She didn't expect that there would be so much snow again.

"But if it stays warm and doesn't snow, it will be difficult." Now that there are no more holidays, according to Fischer, there is not as much activity on the Jachenau trails during the week.

“But there is more going on at the weekend.

Most are day trippers, many from the Munich area.”

Walchensee

According to information on the "Tölzer Land Tourismus" website, the circuit in Walchensee is currently closed due to a lack of snow.

Benediktbeuern

According to Sabine Rauscher from Guest Information, the trails in Benediktbeuern are still open at the moment.

"The cross-country ski runs are still passable, it was always cool at night."

"But that's all the more gratifying, of course." According to Rauscher, the cross-country trails are very well received.

"There are currently not as many tourists as there were during the holidays, but there are also many locals from the region."

Kochel am See

The cross-country ski run in Kochel is groomed and open, informs Nicole Lutterer, manager of the municipality.

"She is well received."

Schlehdorf

According to Nicole Lutterer, you can still go cross-country skiing in Schlehdorf.

Bad Heilbrunn

According to the town hall, the trail is still open and groomed in Bad Heilbrunn.

The conditions are mediocre.

It is impossible to say how long the cross-country skiing fun in Bad Heilbrunn will last.

Wackersberg

The trail from Bad Tölz or Wackersberg to Arzbach is currently groomed, informs Wackersberg Mayor Jan Göhzold.
