A question about the life of Elizabeth II is causing difficulties for the contestants in "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?".

Günther Jauch therefore slips a sexist saying over his lips.

Hürth – No matter how well read you are or how extensive your own general knowledge is – nobody is safe from the wrong answer when it comes to “Who wants to be a millionaire?”.

Because even after intensive preparation, there can be a nasty question lurking around every corner that throws a candidate completely off track.

Quiz master Günther Jauch (66) elicits a sexist comment in the latest episode of the RTL rate show that three participants come in socks in a round about the British royals.

Because they don't know the Queen's question: Günther Jauch tears sexist slogan at "Who wants to be a millionaire".

Being able to take a seat in the legendary black chairs of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" is a dream of many, but in order to even make it there, you have to assert yourself against your fellow campaigners in a kind of preliminary round.

Whoever provides the correct answer fastest can take a seat opposite Günther Jauch and face the show master's tough questions.

At the end of the latest episode, only three of the hopeful participants are left - but unfortunately there is an issue that stands in the way of a chance for big money that they all have little to do with.

Because his three candidates could not answer a question about Queen Elizabeth II, Günther Jauch asked them a "Blondi question" on "Who wants to be a millionaire?"

In order to get one step further, Hannelore Moll, Esther Gebhardt and Karoline Bulut are supposed to chronologically arrange important events in the life of Queen Elizabeth II, who died in September 2022 - a very contemporary task, but one that gives them plenty to ponder.

"We're not so Queen fans," explains Hannelore, after she and her competitors, with whom she combines not only a lack of royals expertise but also the blonde head of hair, all provide the wrong answer.

"Now I have three women and I thought …" Günther Jauch is visibly surprised and cheekily follows: "Then the Blondi question comes."

"Who wants to be a millionaire?" not only a hit in Germany - TV show with several offshoots:

Not only in this country has "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" been a real ratings hit for years, the TV show originally from Great Britain (there: "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?") has also developed into a real mass phenomenon internationally.

The quiz show has been licensed in over 100 countries worldwide, including Albania, Austria, Belgium, Turkey, the Netherlands, Italy, Vietnam, Poland, Portugal and Switzerland.

The program sequence, the optics and the music are often almost identical.

"Best blonde at the start": "Who wants to be a millionaire" candidate annoyed by Günther Jauch's saying

Günther Jauch's questionable comment causes roars of laughter in the audience – but the response from the three blonde participants is less euphoric.

Esther Gebhardt, who after the second question, in which the word "fuss" should be put in the right order, can prevail against Hannelore and Karoline, seems clearly annoyed by the words of the star moderator.

"Best blonde ever," she quips after finally sitting down in the chair, "But I actually had to wait until the blonde question."

In the end, Esther Gebhardt skilfully earns 2,000 euros and can continue guessing in the next episode.

She should have refuted the cliché that Günther Jauch wanted to allude to – although she reveals that her platinum blonde hair is only dyed anyway.

Meanwhile, Günther Jauch made a candidate cry on "Who wants to be a millionaire?" because he had made fun of her husband's nickname.
