The driver of the coach, Christoph A. (51 †), is said to have warned the passengers just before the bus with 32 passengers from Lower Bavaria crashed.
Schladming – Christoph A. and the passenger Christoph F. (31 †) died in the accident.
The latter was out with friends on a bachelor party.
Bus driver is said to have warned passengers shortly before the accident
Christoph A. (51 †) from Wittibreut (Rottal-Inn district) is said to have warned shortly before the accident, according to a report by the Bayern media group.
The police spokesman Fritz Grundnig confirms that there are corresponding witness statements.
Late on Saturday evening, the bus ran over an embankment near Schladming, overturned several times and fell on the flat roof of a company building built on a slope.
According to Grundnig, it is still not possible to say what caused the accident.
Technical report to clarify the cause of the accident
"A technical report was commissioned, which is not yet available." It will probably no longer be possible to clarify whether there was a medical cause.
The body will not be autopsied, it has been cleared for burial.
It should take place on Tuesday in the Wittibreuter district of Ulbering, where Christoph A. lived.
The Lower Bavarian had a contractor, he also provided tractors and trucks for agriculture and construction sites.
The burial of the accident victim Christoph F. took place yesterday in Triftern-Anzenkirchen (also in the district of Rottal-Inn).
He and ten friends went night tobogganing on the Hochwurzen.
According to Triftern's mayor Edith Lirsch, the trip was a gift from friends, they wanted to do everything right and booked the bus trip so they didn't have to drive private cars.
Four occupants were seriously injured and 26 slightly injured.
With the exception of one person, all of the injured have been released from the hospital, Grundnig said.
