The few days of skiing holidays in his department did Eric Ciotti good.
After the discussion in the National Assembly on the pension reform, he had to dismiss Aurélien Pradié from his position as number two of the Republicans.
The deputy of Lot, by his determined opposition to the text of the government, had undermined the strategy of responsibility and coherence decided by the president of the LR.
Éric Ciotti had however warned Aurélien Pradié:
“Do not stretch the elastic too far, it risks breaking.”
But deep down, he knew that the young troublemaker would never give up and would not vote for the reform project.
“There cannot be two positions at the head of the party.
There has to be an understandable line.”
However, Éric Ciotti is convinced that the strategy he has set is the one that should allow the Republicans to return to center stage.
