New Delhi-Sana

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov confirmed that Western countries are exerting pressure on various countries to support imposing sanctions on Russia, indicating that his country's energy policy will be towards trusted partners.

Lavrov said during a speech today at the Raisina Dialogue Conference in the Indian capital, New Delhi: "The suffering experienced by the peoples of the world has nothing to do with Russia's move in Ukraine, but is rather a result of the illegal sanctions imposed by the West on Russia," pointing out that the West is putting pressure on countries. In order to support the imposition of illegal sanctions against Russia.

Lavrov wondered why the United States was not held accountable for its violations in Iraq, Yugoslavia and other countries, at a time when the West sees Russia as a threat in the context of global hegemony.

On the other hand, Lavrov explained that the war that the West started against his country using the Ukrainian people affected Russian policy, including energy policy, which will from now on be directed towards reliable partners, including India and China, pointing out that it will no longer be relied on on any partners in the West.

Lavrov stressed that Russia will not allow the West to blow up more gas pipelines, the "Northern Stream".

Earlier, Lavrov reaffirmed Russia's position by calling for an urgent and transparent investigation into the terrorist attacks that targeted the "Northern Stream" gas pipelines.
