A prosecutor's statement - will be filed today (Friday) against Ilana Suissa from Sderot, who is suspected of more than 400 cases of abuse and assault of helpless toddlers whom she treated as part of her work as a daycare nurse in the city of Sderot.
The cases of abuse of which the suspect is accused were revealed after one of the mothers, Tsliil ben Zechar, sent her son to kindergarten with a recording device and recorded the yelling, cursing and incidents of violence in the kindergarten.
Later, the recordings were transferred to the Sderot police, who confiscated the security cameras - and thus over 400 cases of assault and abuse of 18 toddlers were revealed.
Hundreds of cases of abuse have been documented.

The court extended the arrest of the suspect for more than 30 days, during which the investigators continued to consolidate the evidentiary infrastructure against the suspect, which includes collecting additional evidence under a warning from therapists who worked with the suspect.
With the transfer of the investigation materials to the prosecutor's office, and as part of another hearing that will be held today to extend the suspect's detention at the Peace Court in Ashkelon, it was decided to submit the prosecutor's statement regarding the intention to file an indictment against her in the coming days.

Inspector David Tagori, head of the investigation team: "The investigation began with a complaint that was received and only a voice recording, which immediately turned on a red light for us, and it was decided to establish a special investigation team to examine the conduct of the daycare center and the staff. During the weeks in which the investigation was conducted, we watched hundreds of hours documenting what was happening in the daycare center over the past two months, When the suspect's abnormal and violent behavior towards the toddlers was clear and repeated over hundreds of cases that were very difficult to watch, to which we were exposed and treated those children as if they were our own. We are on the last line towards filing a serious indictment against the suspect, and are happy that we were able to stop and prevent further harm to toddlers ".
