More and more reservists are joining the protest against the reform. The petition signed by about 130 Yalam fighters states that without agreement - "the rift in the nation will grow to the point of a real danger to the future of the country." The offensive cyber unit warned: "The moral and legal framework that allows us to develop sensitive capabilities will be dropped."

Dozens of reservists of the Yalam unit warned today (Friday) that they will not enlist - if the legal revolution is approved. Pass through the Knesset - it will make it difficult for us to continue to perform our role in the reserves and harm our ability to continue to protect the State of Israel." "

We call on the heads of the coalition and the opposition - show us an example of responsibility and national maturity.

"Put pride, political debate and stubbornness aside, discuss immediately until reaching broad agreements regarding the reform," added the fighters. If the legislative process continues without negotiation and without agreement - the rift in the people, division and hatred will grow to the point of a real danger to the future of the country."

On top of that, more than 150 reservists who serve in the offensive cyber formation have also threatened that they will not continue to enlist if the legal revolution is approved - this is what the N12 website published today.

"If the laws in question are enacted and the independence of the judicial system is abolished, the moral and legal framework that allows us to develop sensitive capabilities in the civil service will be removed," the servants wrote in a letter sent to Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi.

According to them, the legitimacy to use advanced cyber capabilities exists only because Israel is a liberal democratic country, one "where there is a strong and independent judicial system that allows a balance between the authorities".

At the end of the letter, they emphasized that "a regime without judicial review may use the cyber capabilities we are developing in an immoral way that goes against the principles of democracy."

Yesterday, about 80 fighters and officers from Devdvan called for the legal revolution legislation to be stopped and for a "broad consensus" to be formed.

The members of the unit warned that the legislation is "one-sided and without broad consensus, divides Israeli society and violates the delicate balance between the authorities in Israel by weakening the legal system - the legislation will cause serious damage to Israeli democracy."

The former fighters explained the step they took, "We decided to come out of the shadows, make our voices heard and hereby call on the government and the coalition to stop the legislative moves and forge a broad consensus. We will not agree to damage Israeli democracy", they concluded.

The evening before, the graduates of Unit 9900 in the Intelligence Corps sent a letter to the Minister of Defense, the Chief of Staff, and the head of the Intelligence Division in which they wrote that they would not serve in the reserves due to "the predatory legislative processes that the government is promoting these days, chief among them, the attempts to eliminate the existing balance between the authorities." The members of the unit read To stop the legislation "and then, to have an in-depth and professional dialogue which will lead to a broad agreement and a significant consensus regarding such fundamental changes in the form of government of our beloved country".

They join reservists from various units, including pilots, unit 8200, the special operations array and elite units in the ground arm that have published similar letters.

Among other things, some of the letters state that they will refuse to go to reserve service if the government advances the changes in the justice system and harms democracy.

Chief of Staff Hertzi Halevi expressed concern in closed conversations that if the IDF engages in the political debate, this will harm the percentage of showing up for reserve service for training and operational activity, and in the long run will affect the motivation of the youth to enlist in the IDF.
