Snowdrifts can also be expected at higher altitudes, says Jung.
According to the American weather model, there could be ten to twelve centimeters of snow, at least at higher elevations in the West.
A "longer closed snow cover down to low altitudes will probably not exist," said Jung.
Another weather expert predicts snowstorm "Björn" for Germany

However, Schenk speaks of a snowstorm called Björn, which should come to us from the North Sea on Tuesday.

Risk of forest fires in Germany: Four federal states are already at level three

As can be seen from the forest fire risk index (WBI) of the German Weather Service (DWD) from March 3rd, some areas are already in level three (of a total of five).
Rhineland-Palatinate, in the south of Hesse, in the north of Baden-Württemberg and in some areas Bavaria are particularly affected.
It was pretty dry there in February, Jung explained.
