The Unified Syrian Communist Party, the Palestinian factions and forces organized a solidarity stand in Arnous Square in Damascus to demand the lifting of the siege and the unilateral coercive measures imposed on Syria.

The participants affirmed that the time has come to break this unjust siege on Syria and to cancel the unilateral coercive measures imposed on it, expressing their confidence that Syria will return to its leading position at all national, regional and global levels, and will liberate every occupied inch of it.

Participants warned that the continuation of the blockade and coercive measures in the midst of the devastating earthquake crisis, and the repercussions of the war on Syria, exacerbate the tragedy and prolong the destruction and suffering that the Syrian people have faced since the start of the terrorist war against them, which systematically destroyed many infrastructure components, thus undermining efforts efforts towards economic recovery and reconstruction.

The participants called on the free and honorable people of the world to stand by Syria, and appealed to the international community to expedite practical steps to lift the siege and unilateral coercive measures imposed on Syria that targeted land and people.

A number of Syrian and Palestinian national parties, leaders and representatives of Palestinian factions, and social and cultural activities participated in the vigil.
