The United Nations Special Rapporteur for the occupied Palestinian territories, Francesca Albanese, called for an investigation into the crimes committed by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinians.
WAFA news agency quoted Albanese as saying in an interview with the British Broadcasting Corporation “BBC” today: The investigation is necessary to hold “Israel” accountable and put an end to its impunity.
Albanese's statements come after 6 European countries, France, Britain, Germany, Italy, Spain and Poland, issued a joint statement earlier, calling on the Israeli occupation to stop settlement operations in the occupied Palestinian territories, stressing its condemnation of settler attacks on Palestinians and their property.
