After the threat to Messi, now Kirchnerism opens the 'anti-narcotics' agenda in Congress

He convened with a plenary of commissions to discuss a bill that creates more courts and prosecutors to combat drug traffickers in Santa Fe that had been on hold since last May.

Until now, the agenda of Deputies was focused mainly on the Impeachment of the Supreme Court, promoted by Kirchnerism.

But after the threat to the family of Lionel Messi, the ruling party set off alarms and

revived an old paralyzed project to strengthen the Santa Fe Justice

.

In addition,

the presentation of the Minister of Security, Aníbal Fernández, is expected.

The camper

and former director of the AFI Rodolfo Tailhade

, president of the Justice commission, convened a plenary session on Justice and Criminal Legislation on Tuesday - chaired by the PRO legislator, María Luján Rey - to begin debating the project that has been presented since last may.

The initiative

is a joint proposal of 18 deputies from that province, from different political forces.

The central axis is the creation of 13 federal prosecutor positions, 4 defense offices and 6 federal courts in different cities of the province.

It also creates 6 positions of federal criminal judge with review functions.

The main argument is that the federal justice of the province has had the same structure for

40 years

, when the population was smaller and there was no drug trafficking, so it is necessary to expand it.

The problem adds two other claims: that almost half of the positions in the courts are vacant and that the accusatory system that has to come into force in the province is not starting up.

In this sense, the bicameral commission created in Congress especially to be in charge of gradually implementing this system in the provinces does not meet.

The Senate did not appoint its members.

Some suspect that it is Vice President Cristina Kirchner who is holding him back, because implementing the accusatory system, where the prosecutors have the main role,

would mean giving more power to the attorney general Eduardo Casal.

"Rosario quadruples the Argentine average in homicides, 80% of those are because drug gangs kill each other and generate acts that instill terror in the population. Now they shot at a supermarket that is the family of a celebrity. I regret that in Buenos Aires now realize that Rosario is part of Argentina and begin to take action on the matter,"

Roberto Mirabella, a deputy from Santa Fe for the Frente de Todos, told

Clarín .

The legislator, who on several occasions claimed that neither the Government nor Congress take into account the Santa Fe agenda, presented this Friday together with the UCR Fernando Carbajal from Formosa a project to expedite the implementation of the new Procedural Code

.

For his part, the massista Ramiro Gutierrez called Minister Aníbal Fernández, at the request of the opposition, to speak before the Internal Security commission.

The appointment is set for Thursday at 1 pm.

The request was made by the radical legislator from Santa Fe, Juan Martín, in the session that Deputies held on Tuesday.

The legislator had demanded responses to the reduction of budget items in the security category.

According to him, he said, the province is located in 14th place, despite the delicate situation that it is going through.

After the mafia attack on Messi's family,

his visit becomes even more relevant.

Meanwhile, the Civic Coalition led by Elisa Carrió once again asked Gutiérrez to

set up the commission in Rosario

to meet in that city.

"The Kirchnerism that admits, through the confession of its Security Minister, Aníbal Fernández, to be the political responsible for the expansion of drug trafficking, now chooses to abandon its role and confess its dispensation," they pointed out.
