Iran has announced that it will voluntarily allow the International Atomic Energy Agency to conduct further verification and monitoring activities if necessary, and the method of implementation will be agreed upon between the two parties during a technical meeting that will be held soon in Tehran.
The Iranian Atomic Energy Organization said in a statement today that it and the International Atomic Energy Agency had reached a joint statement of cooperation between them at the end of the visit of Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, to Tehran, and the meeting and negotiation with senior officials in Iran.
The organization indicated that the understandings between the IAEA and Iran will be implemented in a spirit of cooperation and full compliance with the agency's terms of reference and Iran's rights and obligations on the basis of comprehensive safeguards agreements.
On the remaining safeguards issues related to three places, the organization declared Iran's readiness to continue cooperation and provide information and more access in order to address these issues.
