Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Committee in the Czech Parliament, Jerje Koiza, criticized the supply of weapons by NATO and the European Union to Ukraine, which constitutes an escalation of the war.
And Koiza considered, according to what was published by the Czech Parliamentary Papers website, that many NATO countries and the European Union are working to escalate the conflict in Ukraine by providing weapons instead of acting rationally as China does.
Koiza praised the initiative put forward by Beijing, which would constitute a starting point for upcoming peace talks and a future compromise for the Ukraine crisis.
In turn, the former head of the Czech military intelligence service, General Andor Sandor, confirmed that the sanctions imposed by Western countries on Russia failed to isolate it, pointing out that many countries did not join the sanctions, including members of NATO.
Shandor said in an interview with the Czech Parliamentary Papers website that Western sanctions have failed to make Russia suffer, stressing that Russia's military and human reserves and resources are large and therefore it can continue to fight for a longer period than Ukraine can bear.
