The mayor of Kfar Saba, Rafi Sa'ar, announced today (Saturday) that he will donate approximately NIS 500 to a voluntary body following yesterday's publication in Israel Hayom.
The mayor was recorded on Friday as he allegedly parked in a prohibited place.
In addition, it appears that his vehicle even protruded into the road and obstructed vehicles from traveling in the lane.
Sa'ar was recorded as he parked in an apparently forbidden place in front of the city hall.
He apparently came to his office for a short time and parked his car in a place that seemed to be off-limits.
Following the publication in Israel Hayom, Sa'ar announced that he would donate NIS 500 to a voluntary organization due to the prohibited parking.
First, the mayor said: "The vehicle did not park but waited for the mayor near his office for three minutes due to an event for which he was required. The mayor regrets this and will make sure that this does not change."

It was later reported on his behalf: "The vehicle did not park but waited for the mayor (there were people in the car) near his office, where there is no parking space reserved for the mayor, for three minutes due to an urgent event, the funeral for which is required. Nevertheless, the mayor regrets this and will make a donation in the amount of NIS 500 to a voluntary organization in Kfar Saba".
The resident of the city, who recorded Sa'ar parking on the spot, said: "The mayor is not above the law, he cannot park in violation of the municipality's laws. He shamelessly parked in red and white. While the municipality issues millions of parking tickets to citizens, the mayor parks in red and white." .
