The Colorado house where the body of the girl JonBenet Ramsey was found in 1996 is for sale for almost 7 million dollars.

The murder of JonBenet, a 6-year-old child beauty queen, drew public attention, made international headlines and sparked frenzied television coverage at the time.

Although for years his family lived under the shadow of suspicion for the mysterious murder, the case has never been solved.

In 2008, prosecutors formally apologized to her parents and her brother, clearing them of any involvement in the child's death.

On the morning of December 26, 1996, the girl's body was discovered by her father

, John Ramsey, in a basement room on the sprawling family property, hours after her mother, Patsy Ramsey, called 911 to report that, At the bottom of the stairs, he found a note stating that JonBenet had been kidnapped and a ransom was being demanded.

The house has changed owners and address since then.

In 2001, it went from 755 15th Street to 749 15th Street, the Post said.

In 2004, it was purchased for $1.05 million by its current owners, Tim Milner and his wife, Carol Schuller Milner, daughter of Robert H. Schuller, a televangelist pastor on the Hour of Power series

Since then, the house has been put up for sale several times without success.

A Zillow ad published Thursday

offered it for $6.95 million

and described it as “7,240 square feet of elegant rooms,” “surrounded by luxury homes” and within walking distance of shops and restaurants.

“This is a stunning Boulder property with timeless appeal in an unbeatable location

,” describes the listing published by real estate firm LIV Sotheby's International Realty.

Attempts have been made to contact the agents handling the sale for information on the home, but they have not responded.

As of Friday morning, the ad had received more than 10,000 views

and was saved by nearly 400 Zillow users.

Photos of the interior of the sunlit home show its eight bathrooms and a carpeted staircase leading upstairs from the kitchen.

Exterior images show a basketball court in a snow-covered backyard and a fence separating the main entrance from the street.

Property taxes on the Ramseys' former home were $19,405 in 2022, according to the Zillow listing.

No charges have ever been filed in JonBenet's death and the case remains under investigation

After new DNA evidence cleared his family in 2008, his father was optimistic the murder would finally be solved.

"The most important thing is that we now have very strong evidence and that has always been my hope, at least in the recent past, that the evidence would lead us to the killer," John Ramsey told Denver's KUSA, an NBC affiliate, at the time.

JonBenet's mother, Patsy, did not live to witness the acquittal of her name.

He died of ovarian cancer in 2006.

The girl's brother, Burke, was 9 years old at the time of her murder and refused to give media interviews on the subject for years, despite accusations by experts and private detectives that he was responsible.
