At least six people were killed when a fire broke out at an oxygen plant in southeastern Bangladesh today.
Reuters quoted officials as saying: The fire broke out today following an explosion at an oxygen plant in Sittakunda, 45 km from the southeastern port city of Chittagong, killing six people and injuring others, and the death toll is likely to rise.
The fire service official indicated that it is not yet clear what caused the explosion, while rescue operations are still continuing at the site.
Fires are common in Bangladesh's poor factories, which often suffer from poor safety standards and fire-fighting tools.
