Shahar Mor, the protester who this week (Wednesday) was injured in his ear by a stun grenade during a protest against the legal revolution in Tel Aviv is still hospitalized in Ichilov and plans to come to demonstrations later.

"It didn't break my spirit," he said.

He came out against the conduct of the police in the incident and according to him "Bibi uses this force to harm normal people and tries to present them as violent terrorists".

"I was sure they were going to shoot me, I got a boom," Moore told Walla.

"They threw the grenade. It exploded right on my skull. The police behaved with brutality and lack of concern for human life. It crushed my ear. It could have exploded in my eye, I got out cheaply. A mother stood next to me with a 14-year-old girl. How can you throw a grenade into crowd?"

51-year-old Moore from Tel Aviv, father of three and works in the cyber department at the bank.

He said that he stood far from the police, as can be seen in the video he took.

He described the moments before the injury, "I was standing at a crosswalk that leads to the peace train station. There was a line of police cars blocking the protesters so they wouldn't go down to Ayalon. It was static. After about 10 minutes, the protesters realized there was nowhere to go and they went up, towards where I was standing. Suddenly I heard explosions and horsemen attacking demonstrators. Between me and the police line were 20 lines of demonstrators and I was not close at all."

"A lie is truth, war is peace"

"They are given permission to bring grenades and horsemen and use violent means. They did not bring a medic and the ambulance arrived only after 20 minutes. How come there is no ambulance on standby? Another protester was hit by a horse's kick. A few centimeters lower and the grenade would have hit my vein and I would have been left to bleed to death? It's a matter of life and death".

"A lie is truth, war is peace - this is the reality in Israel 2023," Moore quoted the famous statement from the book 1984. According to him, the police are violent and that is why these things happened.

"The police wanted there to be blood. They are like a neighborhood, the officer in charge in the field behaves like a hooligan barbarian and throws grenades in the air at demonstrators who did not behave violently. What starts in Hvara ends in Kaplan. The police do it all the time and I was just taking pictures."

Moore was treated at the Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv in a pressure and oxygen chamber.

He has temporary hearing loss and tomorrow there will be an examination to check for improvement in his condition.

"The treatments here are amazing and I get a lot of support and love. They put the ear back together and if everything goes well there will be blood flow to this area.

"When I grabbed the grenade there was a moment of silence and beeping like in the movies.

A friend of mine who was wounded by a shell in Lebanon described a similar thing.

I'm not comparing but what was felt in terms of the explosion, our stories are the same.

I keep thinking about the fact that I'm Jewish, a former IDF officer, but if I were an Arab it would look different. This is something that happens a lot in Israel."
