A strong beer festival in the E3 ice cellar was not possible this year.
But the Tonwerk stepped in as the host and Egon M. as the Lenten preacher.
The result was an enjoyable evening at the Alte Schlosserei.

- new place, new fasting preacher - for the first time the Dorfen strong beer festival took place in the Tonwerk.
Around 150 visitors enjoyed themselves on Thursday evening at the start of the three-day strong beer spectacle, during which the celebrator from the Aying private brewery was poured verbally.
Lenten preacher Egon M. alias Martin Mittermaier offered a successful mixture of politicians' bleeds and cabaret.
The event had only recently been on the brink.
The strong beer festival was planned again in the E3 ice cellar after a forced break of two years.
But after the Bachmayer brewery (we reported) and the failure of the Lebzelter inn as a caterer, E3 host Robert Eicher feared: "That's it for 2023."
Martin Pommer, President of the Dorfen Carnival Society, came into play for the rescue, and Tonwerk stepped in as the location.
Now Pommer and his deputy Mathias Pichlmeier humorously led through the saved evening with music from the Junge Oarkarrer Musi.
District Administrator Martin Bayerstorfer, who should have tapped the first keg on stage, was among the 150 or so guests in the Old Locksmith's Shop in the Tonwerk.
But he had to pass because after a skiing accident last week he is on crutches because of an Achilles tendon injury.
Mayor Heinz Grundner took over.

"Look ma moi, how's it going", said fasting preacher Egon M. at first.
Unfortunately, the "biological Isener", who has lived in Dorfen since 2004, regretted that he could only offer a solo program this year.
The comrades-in-arms of the last few years were all "somehow prevented" and could not be motivated, said Mittermaier.
And in the end, the fasting preacher Steffi Hönninger, alias Cilly Mare, took early retirement as a fasting preacher.
The preparation time for Egon M was too short for a peppered Lenten sermon, but even so the sovereign cabaret artist was able to entertain the audience very well.
He thinks the current information about electricity and gas bills from the municipal utility is great, because trying to understand it keeps you mentally fit.
When it comes to political issues, Egon M. always operated well above the belt.
Politicians are always quickly portrayed as the idiots and are to blame for everything, which, however, is not right, he repeatedly hinted.
Dorfen's local politicians, especially Mayor Grundner, don't have it easy.
In Isen, for example, the mayor says: "Let's do it," and the municipal council "says yes".
In the city council, on the other hand, everyone says exactly the opposite of the other.
But there are also “so many parties and groups – madness”.
And then there was also an APO, an extra-parliamentary opposition with ex-city councilor Wolfgang Lanzinger, who always poured a lot into city politics at KG-Maschkera.
In the meantime, everyone has noticed "that traffic somehow doesn't run that smoothly," said the fasting preacher.
Instead of whining about traffic jams in Dorfen, Egon M. recommended flexibility to the support group.
"They should open up at hoibe four in the morning, there's no traffic jams and free parking spaces for every customer."
Mittermaier also had observations on delays on the new B 15 bridge.
It was planned exactly.
A heavy transport brought components to the construction site on the dot and on the dot – just on the wrong side: bad luck, but you couldn’t count on the fact that there would be no more bridges.
That, for example, cannot be taken into account in Dorfen politics, nor that the bridge was demolished using the woodpecker method, i.e. hammered instead of sawn, so that no dust got into the Isen.
After all, the bridge should be ready "in the summer", but which one: 2024? Egon M asked. Building the pyramids also took decades, "and they didn't have to demolish anything beforehand and didn't have any greens".
Patience is the magic word in the often heated and hour-long debates in the city council - for example about the new drinking fountain in the city.
But that is a good sign when you look at Russia or China.
Because of the costs, one should reconsider whether to start as a "test balloon" Oettinger beer bar instead of drinking water.
There's plenty of it for 8,000 euros, that could last for 20 years.
