Ramsau/Ellmau – The 16th "Bergdoktor" season is over and it will probably be a while before there are new stories from Ellmau.
Fans of homeland series with breathtaking mountain backdrops will still get their money's worth in the near future, because ZDF has been showing the new season of "Die Bergretter" since March 2nd.
If it were up to the main actor Sebastian Ströbel (46), who plays the role of Markus Kofler in the series, one day there could even be an adventure together with Dr.
Martin Gruber coming.

After the serial death of Andreas Marthaler (Martin Gruber, 52), the head of the Ramsau mountain rescue service, Markus Kofler took over the venerable post in 2014 - and like the mountain doctor, he is one thing above all: a lifesaver.
Seeing two such heroic characters, who have thrilled viewers for more than a decade, meet would surely be a dream come true for many fans of the series.
As Sebastian Ströbel reveals, this dream could well become a reality one day.

when asked about a possible crossover with the Bergdoktor, "If it were brought up to me, I wouldn't say no.
I'm curious.”
Making such an undertaking possible, however, should prove to be quite a challenge for the production teams of the two formats.
"When shooting, it's always a bit difficult to set it up logistically," explains Sebastian Ströbel.
But what is not, can still be - after all, Bergdoktor Hans Sigl (53) and Co. will be shooting new episodes again from the end of April and who knows - maybe Markus Kopfler and his colleagues can then set up a visit to Ellmau.
Curious: “Bergretter” darling has the same name as the mountain doctor
In 38 episodes, Andreas Marthaler (Martin Gruber, 52) led the “Bergretter” team until he fell to his death under dramatic circumstances in episode 6 of the sixth season (“Cut off”).
Especially attentive ZDF viewers should have noticed: The former "Bergretter" main actor has a prominent namesake.
The mountain doctor embodied by Hans Sigl (53) in the series of the same name is also called Martin Gruber.
Crossover episode from 2012: "Der Bergdoktor" meets "Die Bergretter" in the episode "Virus"
For Sebastian Ströbel, meeting Hans Sigl and the rest of the Bergdoktor family would be a premiere, but in fact there was already a joint episode in 2012 with the mountain doctor and the mountain rescuers around Andreas Marthaler.
"Virus" was the name of the episode that served as the season opener for the 6th "Bergdoktor" season and in which a mysterious illness made life difficult for Martin Gruber and his friends in Ramsau.
It doesn't matter if and when the second crossover of the two successful series finally comes about - it should always be highly dramatic.

The gap that the "Bergdoktor" left in the ZDF television program did not last long, because almost immediately afterwards, Markus Kofler and his colleagues brought great ratings to the broadcaster based in Mainz.
Right at the start of the season, however, two actors get out of "Die Bergretter".
