Alberto Fernández maintains his candidacy with the theory of the 'dwarf fight' and the operative outcry for Cristina Kirchner enters a crucial phase

2023-03-05T22:48:08.935Z

The President insists that without the vice president on the field, no candidate prevails over the rest. Key week for CFK.

Five points, said

Andrés Larroque

.

"We are not going to present ourselves with a candidate who measures five points," reasoned leader K in allusion to

Alberto Fernández

, hours after the President opened the ordinary sessions of Congress with a speech with which he sought, according to his entourage, "to seal "in vain" the "unity" of the Frente de Todos.

Fernández knows that Larroque is right: the political fragility with which the government leads and the consequences of inflation on the daily life of society position him as a candidate with very little chance of getting re-elected.

But

with Cristina Kirchner out of the field, if the former President maintains her decision not to run for any office this year

, the President believes that all the ruling party candidates were left, at least in quantitative terms, on an equal footing.

"Without Cristina, it's a dwarf fight"

, is the phrase of Fernández and his closest entourage with which they describe the squad of potential candidates of the Frente de Todos.

According to his collaborators, the head of state plans

to maintain the definition of his political future until at least May

.

To a large extent for pure survival: "How do we govern the day after announcing that he is down for re-election?", they reason at Casa Rosada.

Fernández's lack of definition is what irritates Kirchnerism the most, wrapped in its own electoral uncertainty, which wants the President to deactivate as soon as possible the re-election operation mounted by a handful of leaders to focus on an electoral campaign that proposes a project different from that of the current management.

The President gloats over that indecision that annoys Kirchnerism.

It is, according to his advisers, a late strategy to deal with the fierce offensive launched from the Instituto Patria and La Cámpora to bring it down as soon as possible.

In Casa Rosada they insist in this sense that there is no electorally attractive candidate outside of the votes that Cristina Kirchner concentrates.

Neither Fernández himself

, nor Daniel Scioli, Eduardo "Wado" de Pedro, Jorge Capitanich or Sergio Massa

, tied to his anti-inflation plan that for now has not given the expected results.

"

We are all dwarfs", they repeat from Casa Rosada.

Key week for Cristina

In this context, the operative clamor around the former President enters a crucial stage this week.

It had already gained notorious strength after the PJ summit more than a fortnight ago, focused almost exclusively on "proscription", with the unexpected presence of

Máximo Kirchner

.

On Thursday, the Federal Oral Court 2 will disseminate the arguments of the sentence that fixed the

perpetual disqualification for the exercise of the public function of the vice president

, a resolution that gave Cristina Kirchner herself and her fans the foot to denounce the alleged " proscription".

The next day, the former president has a schedule to visit Viedma with the excuse of delivering a distinction with which she could reappear with a public speech.

On Saturday, in Avellaneda, Kirchnerism set up a plenary session under the slogan

"Fight and come back, Cristina 2023"

, an area in which all the organizations of the K spectrum and the mayors will conclude with a document in which they will once again ask the vice -she does not plan to participate- to review her decision not to be a candidate.

A request that Martín Insaurralde, one of the most relevant actors in Buenos Aires politics, reiterated this Sunday.

It is also about the presentation in society of La Patria es el otro, the organization that has Larroque as its main reference.

The event reveals that

a sector of La Cámpora undertook its own path outside the leadership of Máximo Kirchner, and with the exclusive leadership of Cristina Kirchner.

In addition to Larroque, the other leader who decided to launch his own project is the Minister of the Interior.

Wado De Pedro has even opened his own offices, in San Telmo, from where he feeds the versions of a supposed candidacy with the endorsement of the former President.
