Five years after #MeToo, these fighters who somehow defend women's rights

FIGARO TOMORROW - As International Women's Day is celebrated on March 8, victims of assault are better supported. But the road is still long.


Five years after #MeToo, women show that, far from wallowing in the status of victims, they organize themselves to overcome hardships and show resilience.

Tongues are loosened, efforts are deployed, initiatives are multiplying.

The free App-Elles application, allowing any woman to notify three relatives and to be geolocated in the event of an attack, has been downloaded more than 100,000 times.

A third AP-HP Women's House, with a multidisciplinary team, has just opened at the Hôtel-Dieu.

The Elles Déménagent network, which helps victims of domestic violence to leave their homes thanks to volunteers accompanied by the police and a furniture storage facility to store their belongings, is developing throughout the territory.

It could be part of the

"new start pack"

experienced since January by the Minister for Equality between Women and Men, Isabelle Rome.
