A young swimmer from Freising had a special idea to finance the training camp: colorful bobbles.

- The competitive swimmers of the TSV year Freising - the "Orcas" - have a strong competition team, but the training is an enormous financial burden.
But there are very creative minds among the "Orcas" - such as eleven-year-old Hannah.
The passionate swimmer from Freising has now come up with something very special to finance the team's training camp - and then maybe win the Bavarian age group championships: colorful pom-poms.
There are gaps in training for the “orcas”
Last year, 13 young orcas qualified for the Upper Bavarian Championships and swam four times silver and 13 times bronze.
You have to train a lot to be successful.
There is no lack of diligence, but there is a lack of money.
"It's not easy for the swimming department of TSV Jahn right now," reports Astrid Mokesch-Michalovic, Hannah's mom.
"In order to be able to cover the costs of the training, the fees were drastically increased, but the weekend training was canceled."
For the competitive swimmers, this is “a hard blow, because they want to train at a high level and celebrate success in competitions”.
During the Easter holidays, a trip to a training camp in southern France with about 20 swimmers is planned - that would not only be a dream for the strong breast and backstroke swimmer Hannah.
The swimming department set up its own crowdfunding
In order to cushion the additional costs for the families, crowdfunding has now been set up by the swimming department.
And Hannah thought about how she herself could contribute to make crowdfunding even better known and to support it.
During the holidays, the creative student at the Dom-Gymnasium had the idea.
Hannah made countless wool pom-poms, which she also decorated with beads and used to make keychains and animals.
In addition, a box was provided with all the information about crowdfunding - and the "pompom shop" was ready for the young swimmer, who has been training in the competition group for two years.

The management of fresch immediately showed heart
But where should the box with the bobbles be placed?
Again, Hannah had an idea.
What goes better with the swimming team than their favorite place – the Fresch adventure pool.
Hannah gathered all her courage and asked the management of fresch for support.
And their commitment was rewarded: The fresch showed heart and immediately provided its own table in the entrance area, on which the bobble box cannot be overlooked.
At the start, 25 euros were collected
Bathers can now browse through it before and after their bathing fun and take a trailer with them in return for a donation.
"The idea was so well received that 25 euros were raised on the first weekend," reports Astrid Mokesch-Michalovic.
"Hannah is so motivated and happy that she's already reproducing it." The pompom pendants are still available in fresch until the end of crowdfunding at the end of March.
Every euro donated goes to the swimming team's funding account.
