IKEA is launching an intriguing new capsule collection in collaboration with one of the hottest and most loved names in the contemporary Scandinavian design scene: the Finnish design studio MARIMEKKO.

The BASTUA collection is a limited edition collection that brings together the home and the Nordic nature and aims at a design that creates a connection between the body and the soul.

The BASTUA collection includes 29 items and emphasizes the bold and beautiful patterns that reflect nature and the environment near the Finnish baths.

The collection includes, among other things, pieces of furniture, glass products with a unique texture, textile accessories with natural patterns, robes, towels and even a sauna bucket, which is commonly used in baths in Scandinavian countries.

We marked two of the furniture items in the collection as useful items with a clean and contemporary Nordic design that could be a practical and aesthetic addition to any home: a solid wood bench, which combines durability with a fashionable design, and a light and decorative side table, which can be easily moved around the house and is specially adapted to the designed trays that the collection offers to complete the mirror.

Both items are sold at extremely accessible prices - 245 NIS for the round side table and 295 NIS for the bench.

Other items worth keeping an eye or a hand on in the collection are those that express the recognizable graphic line of Marimko Studio, which draws inspiration from the large and decorative rhubarb plant leaves that grow near the sauna cabins in Finland.

This example adorns many items in the collection, including the iconic FRAKTA bag, which received a new design as part of the collection, alongside a tray, bottle and other items that are decorated with leaves and their unique shape.

The limited edition collection is available from 1.3 in all IKEA stores.
