Multiple initiatives to support earthquake victims are being implemented by the Oxygen volunteer team in As-Suwayda, including sending aid to the affected areas, and providing support to affected families.

The founder of the Oxygen Volunteer Team initiative, Sherif Al-Maqt, stated in a statement to SANA reporter that the team took the initiative after the earthquake occurred to help the people of the stricken governorates, based on its national and humanitarian duty, and reflecting the state of cooperation and love among the Syrian people after war conditions that exceeded 12 years, by launching a campaign of donations. With the participation of volunteers, civil society and expatriates, within a campaign entitled “From As-Suwayda… We are all people.”

Al-Muqt explained that the team sent three batches of aid to the affected people in Aleppo and Lattakia, in addition to contributing with the governorate and in coordination with the Relief Committee with a batch of aid to Hama, and the participation of the Saaed Association in an initiative in Aleppo governorate to create a field kitchen with the implementation of psychological support operations for a number of those affected.

Volunteer Sari Al-Dabisi praised the meeting of the Oxygen team for love, morality and humanity to stand by our affected people, indicating that his experience in these circumstances gave him the expertise to be ready to help in the event of any emergency that requires intervention. Among the volunteer, Mazen Nassar, he allocated part of his house to be a place to collect donations from Before the team members who rushed voluntarily to work in order to help the people of the affected governorates.

The Oxygen initiative has previously organized several initiatives in previous years, including the distribution of oxygen cylinders during the response to the Corona pandemic, in addition to helping needy families in the governorate and launching the “Drug Bank” initiative to collect medicines and provide them to those in need.
