Opinion Exporting the check: damage for generations Israel today

2023-03-05T06:47:48.544Z

Exporting the internal Israeli debate abroad gives the country an "apartheid" label that will be difficult to ever remove. Media consumers do not differentiate between local Jewish left and right anyway.

Those who are fed by media reports around the world about what is happening in Israel these days have no doubt: the country that was the only democracy in the Middle East has turned into a dark and anti-liberal dictatorship, which oppresses and persecutes the minorities of all kinds and genders in the name of extreme religious nationalism.

Photographs of demonstrators carrying huge signs showing the portrait of Prime Minister Netanyahu alongside Khomeini, Putin and Orban and declaring the death of Israeli democracy, and of policemen confronting the protesters, fit well with the unequivocal headlines: "The end of democracy" in Israel has already happened. This is not an option Theoretically and certainly not the propaganda of a certain political camp. This is a fact. An existing reality. In the superficial reports of the foreign media, most of which are biased against Israel from the beginning, there is no trace of a complex presentation of the legal reform, and its supporters are not asked at all for their opinion. The more photogenic the image of the opponents, the more it is Better for conveying the negative message about Israel.

The opponents of the reform are elated at the attention they manage to arouse in the world, and even more so at a time when it is immersed in a real tragedy: the war in Ukraine.

After a year of dealing with this horrible war, the news editors are tired of repeating reports about the war of attrition.

The Israeli story is refreshing, especially since the "end of democracy" in Israel can be linked to the war that the liberal and progressive "sons of light" in the West are waging against the "sons of darkness" from the "nationalist and fascist right".

And when the Arab-Israeli conflict gets involved, a miracle formula is created: Israel is not only a monstrous dictatorship, it is also a murderous apartheid entity, ruled by colonialist racists wearing hoods, who have learned nothing from the Holocaust and today do to the Arabs what the Nazis once did to the Jews.

The initiators of the protest against the government, the right and the legal reform are aware of the negative image they are creating for Israel with their actions.

Furthermore: they are aiming for this, because they believe that in this way they will be able to generate international pressure on the government, which will lead not only to a change in its plans but also to its overthrow.

Mobilizing global public opinion for internal political needs is not an innovative tool in the struggle of the left against the governments of the right.

The export of the internal struggle abroad began shortly after the upheaval of 1977. The use of this tool has intensified over the years, and is now reaching new heights.

What the minds have not understood until today is the intensity of the damage they are causing to the State of Israel, which they say they love and act only for its benefit.

Just as most Israelis are not aware of the subtleties of the political debates and conflicts in the USA, France, Poland, Hungary or Lebanon, the majority of the consumers of the photographs and reports from the demonstrations in Israel around the world do not understand the situation in Israel, and in fact are really not interested. They are content with the negative general impression that You get from the titles and the pictures.

Those who from the beginning had a terrible opinion of Israel are getting stronger in their conviction.

And let's not fool ourselves: they are the majority.

And our friends are frightened: her screaming?!

Is Israel really going off the rails?!

Those who are more knowledgeable about the details tear their hair out and wonder: "What are the Israelis doing to themselves and their country?".

And so, for decades, Israel's limited support base in the world - especially in the western part - has been consistently undermined, and the anti-Israel propaganda and confiscation campaign has paid off without anything being done.

The existential struggle in which Israel finds itself continues, and those who are not interested in Israel's existence do not distinguish between right and left.

Along with Netanyahu, Begin and Sharon - Rabin, Olmert, Peres and Barak were also treated as war criminals and mass murderers.

From the beginning they claim that Israel is not a democratic country but an "Apartheid" country.

All those who believe that exporting the intra-Israeli debate abroad will make it possible to score tactical points against the current government, do not realize that the label they are putting on Israel as a whole will not be able to be removed quickly, if at all. This is damage for generations.
