Norma Williams is a woman with a long, athletic body that most of us can only dream of, even at the age of 25. Is it because of the good life she leads in Italy, or is Norma up to a trick

Norma Williams, originally from Liverpool, claims she has more energy now than when she was a teenager, and believes her belief that she will never become truly "old" has helped her maintain her athletic appearance and zest for life.

It may have something to do with the very active lifestyle she leads in Spoleto, Italy, daily walks of nine kilometers, and some light strength training.

Not only does she have the body of a 24-year-old woman with discounted genetics, but she still holds the dreams of that age, and plans to become a runway model.

"Doctors tell me that I have the health and fitness levels of a 20-year-old girl in good shape," she revealed, and says that precisely at these ages, and for most of her years, she suffered from overweight and compulsive eating: "I have 3 wives, they work and I am a king who moves little.

"I would go to bed with several packets of marshmallows, chocolate, huge bags of snacks, I would break a vessel and

feel bad all the time. My energy levels have increased exponentially over the last 50 years," states Norma.

"And that's what motivates me to live the way I live."

Norma believes with all her heart that the mental state is the key to maintaining youth, and says that she has never felt that the passing years should dictate what she does in her life, and how she behaves and looks: "I have always denied that there is such a thing as old age, said Norma. "I keep getting better every year and don't see A reason I won't fulfill my dreams", and this despite the fact that she drinks a whole bottle of wine every day.

Now she leads an extremely sporty lifestyle in Italy, doing daily nine-kilometer walks and training - and runs Umbria Holiday Rentals with her husband Lori, 85. "Retiring and doing nothing with your life is like putting one foot in the grave," she warns. "It's important to keep an adventurous spirit and understand what's happening in today's world."

Norma does not accept the assumption that the world belongs to the young "as we are expected to believe", and adds that "the elders in our society must be an example and a role model for the young. As a 16-year-old girl told me recently, "Norma, when I'm 40 I want to be like you!

All young people say the same thing: "When I grow up I want to look like you, Norma."

Norma says that while her twenties were full of unhealthy eating habits, she now leads an active lifestyle and indulges in indulgences, insisting she never counts calories and instead focuses on keeping herself in top shape.

Her dinner is nuts of various kinds, a selection of meats and cheeses, wholemeal breads, grilled salmon or crabs, potatoes and vegetables.

"My breakfast is a wholemeal croissant filled with honey, plus a milky cappuccino," she says.

"Sometimes two or three such cappuccinos a day."

Norma also drinks about six cups of tea a day, each with two sugars, and she claims she never counts calories, and only invests in maintaining an active physical activity regimen.

"I can eliminate four or five packs of five salty cookies easily after my main meal" Norma admits "My diet is not perfect, but here are two golden rules: "I never eat before my daily exercises and my walk, which sometimes means I don't eat a meal morning until 3:00 p.m., and I never snack between meals," she explained.

Every morning she gets out of bed and does sets of between 20 and 30 repetitions with 4 kg weights, and later

another 20 to 30 repetitions while she waits for the kettle to boil for her morning cup of tea: "Then I go for a quick 9 km walk which takes 90 minutes on the weekend I rest."

She admits that people are "usually shocked" when they find out what he discovered when they meet her, and that curious strangers often ask her how old she is.

"I show no signs of slowing down," she added.

"If anything, I'm faster and I have more energy with every year that passes."

"My ultimate dream is to walk the catwalk in Milan," she says. The traditional white hair of "old women?

On the contrary - I want to show the world that you don't have to look like the stereotypical old woman."
