At noon today (6th), the Fire Services Department's Combating Illegal Fuel Refueling Task Force and the Police Force conducted a joint operation against illegal refueling activities in the Tseung Kwan O area. An illegal gas station was smashed on Chun Kwong Street and about 3,000 liters of diesel were seized , with a market value of about 60,000 yuan.

On the same day, officers of the Fire Services Department smashed up an illegal gas station on Jockey Club Road, North District based on intelligence, and seized about 16,000 liters of diesel oil with a market value of about HKD320,000.

The Fire Services Department and the police smashed an illegal petrol station in Tseung Kwan O and seized 3,000 liters of diesel oil with a market value of about 60,000 yuan.

During the two operations, personnel from the Fire Services Department found a light truck with diesel fuel, two oil tank trucks and a large number of fueling tools, and intercepted 4 men who were suspected to be related to the case and suspected of violating the "Dangerous Goods Ordinance", "Dangerous Goods Ordinance" and "Dangerous Goods Ordinance". Substances (Control) Regulations and Fire Services (Fire Hazard Abatement) Regulations will be prosecuted.

To protect public safety, the Fire Services Department has suspended the licenses of the relevant dangerous goods vehicles. Once the case is convicted, the relevant licenses will be revoked to prohibit the relevant vehicles from continuing to carry dangerous goods.

At the same time, the Fire Services Department has seized the diesel involved in the case and will apply to the court for confiscation.

The Fire Services Department pointed out that illegal gas stations did not provide any fire safety facilities, or installed special fire-fighting devices and equipment for gas stations. Once a fire broke out, the consequences would be serious.
