On video: Shai Avital's detention extension (Walla system!)
Shay Avital, the model's agent accused of sexual offenses, was released today (Monday) to house arrest.
This, after the district court last night rejected the appeal of the prosecutor's office that requested to extend his detention.
Avital has been in custody in Israel since he was returned to Israel from the Netherlands early last month after being extradited by the country's authorities.
The indictment filed by the Tel Aviv District Attorney's Office against Avital attributes to him the commission of sexual offenses against two women, one of whom was 15 years old at the time of the offense against her.
Avital was accused of committing an indecent act and an indecent act by force in March 2020, and of committing an indecent act on a minor while taking advantage of a situation preventing free consent, in 2015.
