Shay Avital, the model's agent accused of sexual offenses, was released today (Monday) to house arrest.
This, after the district court yesterday rejected the appeal of the prosecutor's office that asked to extend his detention.
Avital has been in custody in Israel since he was returned to Israel from the Netherlands early last month after being extradited by the country's authorities.
As a reminder, against Avital, who was extradited from the Netherlands, there is an indictment for sexual offenses by two complainants, out of 26 complaints filed against him.
His defense attorneys asked the court to release him to house arrest, but the attorney's office refused and twice filed an appeal against the decision to release him.
For the first time, the district judge asked for a one-month stay in order for a probation review to be submitted in his case, and after a positive review was submitted, Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court Judge Or Mammon ordered Avital to be released on financial bail and electronic shackles under the close supervision of his family members.

The prosecutor's office again filed an appeal against the release decision and now Judge Avraham Hyman also ordered his release and noted in his decision that the probation service determined that Avital's dangerousness is low, but the new material raises a fear of escaping and a fear of disrupting proceedings.
Hayman ordered his release in electronic handcuffs under 24-hour supervision, but increased the guarantees with a self-guarantee of NIS 750,000 and a deposit of NIS 600,000.
Today, his family managed to deposit the funds and sign all the guarantees.
