Chef Assaf Granit won a Michelin star for the third time this morning (Monday) for the Shavor restaurant in Paris at a ceremony held in Strasbourg, France.
This is the third year in which, in fact, Garnit keeps the star he received, after he made history two years ago and won it for the first time.
The Michelin awarding ceremony in Strasbourg,
The Shabour restaurant, which among other things was chosen as one of the best restaurants in the world in San Pellegrino's prestigious "50 Best Discovery" ranking, was awarded a Michelin star for the first time in January 2021 - a date etched in granite on his wrist.
The ceremony, held three years ago at the height of the Corona epidemic, took place for the first time in the history of the YouTube guide.
Since then, Granit and his partners have maintained the achievement, including: Dan Yoshua - the executive chef of the restaurant and Tomer Lanzman - the restaurant's manager.
Following the win this morning Granit said: "Third year in a row! Only thanks to my great partners Dan Yoshua Tomer Lantzman, Uri Navon and all the rest in Jerusalem and around the world."
He added that "this year was particularly difficult. Twenty restaurants were downgraded from one star to zero. Two three-star restaurants were downgraded to only two stars and five two-star restaurants were downgraded to one."
