The prosecution unit of the police submitted an indictment to the Magistrate's Court in Hadera for attacking a protester at the Givat Ada intersection, in December 2020, more than two years ago.

This is at the end of an investigation at the Zichron Ya'akov station of an event that was at least partially recorded on video and that took place in front of eyewitnesses.

The first hearing in the case will be held by Judge Alex Akhtar only in May 2023.

This happened on Saturday, December 26, 2020. As every Saturday then, a demonstration against Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu was held at the Givat Ada intersection, and among the demonstrators was a 77-year-old resident of Area C, a doctor by education.

In the meantime, 54-year-old Iris Ben Yatah, a resident of the nearby Givat Nili settlement, arrived on the scene. The indictment against her states that a boy who was with her threw a full bottle of water at C and shouted at the protesters "Bibi". C threw the bottle into the traffic circle. Then, according to the indictment, the boy picked up a stick with a flag of the protesters, C put a hand on the boy's arm and then the boy punched him in the head of C.

C pushed him away with the flag he was holding, but the indictment shows that Ben Yatah emerged from behind C, attacked him from behind while his back was turned to her, and hit him in the back with the flag she was holding.

This while the boy also continues to hit C and makes another demonstration.

Then the two left in the car.

"A non-dramatic indictment was filed against the boy. There were endless rejections. The boy apologized, kissed my wife's hand and she forgave him. He received a punishment and I don't even know how it ended," G told Walla!.

This was not the only demonstration during that period in which C was attacked, and in general, demonstrators complained about harassment at the junctions of the area almost on a daily basis.

"We were standing at the Bernitzki intersection in Binyamina, someone came, didn't speak to me at all, then he pulled out a gas gun and sprayed tear gas on me and my wife who was standing next to me," Dr. G told Walla about another incident in which he was attacked at a nearby time, "Someone who was next to me filed a complaint with the police. But I I'm fed up with this whole thing. The police are dragging the matter and in the court in Hadera they treated us badly, they didn't answer questions, the accused wouldn't show up for the trial, after a year I got fed up. It wasn't critical enough. "My general impression is that there are people in the police and in the courts who are happy Apply it and therefore things do not move."

C continues to demonstrate.

"Every week in Kaplan and also here in the region," he says, "last Wednesday we were at the Binyamina intersection and in the evening I was at the Karkur intersection and we had the honor of stealing skunk water from the Makhtezit. So now I am officially a 'stinking anarchist'. Also last Saturday night I demonstrated at the Karkur intersection with my wife, Two of the children and a grandson."

Doctor C says that he is not afraid but that one should be afraid of the expected developments.

"Things like this always start small. Three and two years ago, there was a different government. As soon as there is encouragement, you have to fear it. A small match is enough. I have no doubt that the mess with 'stun grenades' was started by one of the police who lied that they threw a stone at him, because they have no money Proof"

from the Israel Police has not yet received a response to the statements.

Ben Yathach's response could not be reached.
