On Friday, the Gironde prefecture therefore implemented several emergency measures, in particular to reduce automobile pollution, which are still in force.
Car speed reduced by 20km/h
In Gironde, Charente, Charente-Maritime, Dordogne, Deux-Sèvres, Vienne and Haute-Vienne, the maximum speeds authorized on roads outside towns have been lowered by 20km/h, without going below 70km /h.
It is compulsory to drive at a maximum of 110 km/h on the motorway, 90 km/h on the lanes limited to 110, and 70 km/h on those limited to 90 or 80 km/h.
