The issue of the Prime Minister's flight to Italy is over.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will fly to Italy this Thursday in an El Al Boeing 737 narrow body aircraft.

The story started yesterday (Sunday), after El Al pilots did not volunteer to operate the Prime Minister's flight in the wide-body Boeing 777 on the flight to Rome.

This is the least common aircraft in the company, where there are only three active aircraft of this model and accordingly also a very small number of pilots who can operate it.

After no volunteers were found, El Al chose the pilots who were supposed to operate the same flight and it was already manned yesterday evening.

This morning, the Prime Minister's Office published a new tender in which they also allowed Isherair and Arkie to compete, since both have narrow body planes.

The winner of the tender was El Al, and it will operate the flight this Thursday on a Boeing 737, a narrow-body plane with a much less luxurious business class than the company's Boeing 777.

At the same time, the CEO of El Al, Dina Ben Tal Ganansia, published a letter to the company's employees in which she wrote, among other things: "We are a company of all the people of Israel, we fly all sectors without distinction.

No hand will be given to boycotts of any kind, certainly not against the Prime Minister.

Our duty is to maintain statesmanship and restraint in order to be worthy of the trust of all sectors of society.

Let's take care of our home together, a home that we all love and are proud of.'
