The Minister of Health, Dr. Hassan Al-Ghobash, discussed with the Director of the United Nations Office for Project Services in Jordan, Muhammad Othman Akram, ways to enhance cooperation, with regard to responding to the earthquake disaster and supporting the immediate needs of the health sector.
During the meeting held in the Ministry's building today, Dr. Al-Ghobash stated that the relationship between the office and the Ministry is an old relationship, and support is not limited to the earthquake disaster, as coordination takes place on a permanent basis, indicating that the earthquake greatly affected the health sector, and priorities must be renewed to restore things to normal. .
In turn, Akram affirmed the office's readiness to support the immediate needs of the health sector and to enhance cooperation, with regard to funding to support solar energy in hospitals and health centers, in addition to the old projects that are being worked on to restore damaged health blocks to ensure health services for citizens.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister of Health and a number of directors and stakeholders.
