The city council unanimously approved the proposal of the council member, attorney Tam Lifshitz, chairman of the advisory committee on events, to hold the traditional fireworks show this year, using silent fireworks, taking into account the casualties of battle and animals.

"This year there will be quiet fireworks on a road that will accommodate everyone," said the mayor, Roy Gabai, and added that "one can also rejoice together with everyone who is waiting for a spectacular fireworks show, and also do it in a thoughtful way that does not harm the victims of the battle. This is our way of demonstrating mutual guarantee, respect And the appreciation for the soldiers of the IDF and the security forces, for senior citizens, and in contrast, also for animals that are frightened by the noise created by the fireworks.

It is important to us that the celebrations be pleasant and happy, and that everyone can celebrate the Independence Day for the country.

My thanks to the council member and chairman of the events committee, attorney Tam Lifshitz, for the important initiative."
