Now the old stock is being attacked: Two former official buildings in Miesbach are being demolished.
The new district office will take its place.
Miesbach
– The preparatory work has been going on for a few weeks, and since Monday the two buildings have finally been under attack.
The former agricultural school and the former agricultural office on Münchnerstraße and Riezlerstraße in Miesbach are being leveled to make room for the new district office.
In the future it will be the heart of the district administration, which is currently spread over several locations in the city area.
Replacement building significantly slimmed down
As is well known, the district is planning a new administration building for almost 38 million euros.
A lot has changed since the winning model was chosen in an architectural competition in 2018.
Not only the design itself, but also the room concept.
Compared to the initial planning, the replacement building has been significantly slimmed down - the issue of working from home has been taken into account more than before.
This was not reflected in the costs, on the contrary.
They have exploded due to the tense situation in construction, which is why the district has postponed the construction of social housing and the underground car park for the time being.
They should be implemented in 2025 at the earliest.
Groundbreaking for new building on March 24th
The excavators now have three weeks to demolish the existing buildings.
On Friday, March 24th, the symbolic groundbreaking ceremony for the new administration building will take place.
The excavation pit will then be excavated and the shell construction will start in August.
According to the current status, the building should be ready in September 2026 - four years later than originally planned.
When the competition winner was announced, there was talk of moving in in 2022.
