The Chairman of Yesh Atid, Yair Lapid, and the Chairman of the State Camp, Benny Gantz, issued a joint statement today (Monday): "All our reaching out for the unity of Israel has been met with trampling and refusal. Israel stands at the threshold of a national emergency, and Netanyahu refuses to stop. We greatly respect and appreciate the efforts of the President of the State to reach negotiations and broad agreements.
But in order to reach honest and effective negotiations that will lead to the preservation of democracy and the unity of the people, Netanyahu must announce a complete, comprehensive and genuine halt to the legislative process. All attempts at shortcuts are a trampling of real negotiations.
