The European Community of Alsace had organized a lunch in the presence of representatives of the catering trades (bakers, pastry cooks, butchers, etc.), whose service was provided by students from hotel schools in the region.

The meal was duplicated at 1,900 covers, in the evening, to offer the general public a solidarity dinner to help young chefs.

During the day, activities were organized in Strasbourg, Colmar and the surrounding area: immersion in an Alsatian brasserie, visit to the Library of the Dominicans of Colmar, discovery of the Château d'Haut-Kœnigsbourg, tasting of Alsatian cheeses...

In the evening, 500 guests took part in a dinner organized in the heart of the Massenet Distillery, produced by chef Gérard Goetz (Chez Julien).

44 royal sauerkrauts were served by young women in traditional dress.
