The municipality of Irschenberg took another step last week to have its strategy against the proposed gravel quarrying in the Oberhasling district examined.
A so-called scoping appointment took place at the district office on Thursday.
As reported by the press office of the authority, representatives of the municipality - including Mayor Klaus Meixner and Michael Beisse, the lawyer of the municipality - as well as representatives of the construction department at the district office and representatives of the planning office EGL from Landshut took part.
The EGL office presented the participants with a draft of the report on the potential analysis for gravel mining in the municipality of Irschenberg.
Following on from this, however, the participants still had questions and a need for clarification, to which the planning office will promptly make additions.
According to the district office, the final result of the potential analysis is not yet available.
Controlling gravel mining is not hopeless
According to the authority's press office, based on the knowledge available so far, it can at least be stated that the possibility of controlling gravel extraction in the municipality of Irschenberg by means of a partial land use plan does not appear entirely hopeless.
No comment from the community
As reported, the municipal council wanted the scoping appointment to find out whether the strategy of planner Eckhard Emmel could be successful.
Among other things, he had envisaged a distance of up to 150 meters from residential buildings.
Unfortunately, an appointment with Mayor Klaus Meixner (CSU) on this topic, which was agreed with our newspaper, did not take place on Monday.
